i feel like im supposed to complain about 08, but i can't really. even if it had its bad moments at least it has been an adventure.
it started with me sending will back off to sweden, moving to washington dc, and having the time of my life.
by May i was forced to graduate, grow up, get a crappy job, then finally a REAL job.
and now i'm here. i can't wait to get to the next step, which i HOPE is graduate school.

in the past month alone i've realized a couple things
sooner or later i had to make a conscious effort to care
to not give up
the funny thing about pride is that, if you choose it, it eventually leaves you empty handed
i've spent the last 2 years trying not to care
because my past has taught me when you truly care for someone, it starts to hurt
the pain they can and will cause you just becomes unbearable
unfortunately if you separate yourself emotionally from someone, you dont just escape the pain, you escape any form of joy that comes with it
what i've learned is that i cant expect anyone to work endlessly to deserve my love
love isn't something i'm supposed to hold over your head and give it when i feel like it
because when you love someone, the conditions fall away
the act of loving someone who doesn't deserve it
thats life

now i'm going to end this year the same way i started it
